三. Focus on PDU in different periods of computer room construction

PDU selection method:

(1) The circuit power of the distribution branch of the top cabinet + safety margin = the sum of the power of the PDU on this line;

(2) The number of devices in a cabinet + safety margin = the number of jacks of all PDUs in the cabinet. If there are dual redundant lines, the number of PDUs should be doubled with the parameter.

(3) Disperse high-power equipment in different PDUs as much as possible to balance the current of each phase;

(4) Customize the hole type of the PDU based on the equipment plug whose power cord cannot be separated. Once the plug of the device whose power cord can be separated is not compatible, it can be solved by replacing the power cord;

(5) If the equipment density in the cabinet is high, it is advisable to install the PDU vertically with multiple jacks. If the equipment density in the cabinet is low, it is better to install the PDU horizontally with fewer jacks.

1. Installation and commissioning period:

(1) The power of the power distribution socket in front of the cabinet should match the circuit power of the distribution branch of the top cabinet and the power of the PDU, otherwise the power index will be reduced;

(2) The installation U position of the PDU should be reserved for the horizontal installation of the PDU. When the vertical installation of the PDU is installed in the cabinet, the position of the lateral baffle plate on the side of the cabinet should be aligned with the installation size of the PDU;

(3) The double-round European standard plug cannot be directly inserted into the universal hole, so that the grounding will be suspended, which is very dangerous. The correct way is to replace the plug or use the embedded European standard jack, and then use the special conversion line for converting the European standard to the national standard.

2. Operation period:

(1) Pay attention to the temperature rise index, that is, the temperature change between the equipment plug and the PDU jack;

(2) If there is a PDU with remote monitoring, you can pay attention to the current change of the PDU to judge whether the equipment is working normally;

(3) Make full use of the cable management device of the PDU to break down the outward breaking force of the equipment plug on the jack.

3. Points for attention in custom selection

(1) Customized PDU process: how much is the total current (calculate about 50% redundancy based on the sum of output device power);

(2) Input part: the length of the cable (generally standard 2-3 meters is enough);

(3) The wire diameter is determined by the total current, and the plug at the power-taking terminal is determined by the total current and the front-end power supply environment; the number of output sockets is several for each type of socket, and the domestic universal interface is mostly used;

(4) Protection function selection (lightning protection, overload, digital display, power indication, dual power automatic switching, remote monitoring, etc.);

(5) Installation method selection (horizontal installation or vertical installation)

(6) Product material: steel plate material or profile shell.
